Volunteer Opportunities

You can help make the Spotlight On Nursing Run/Walk “For Tomorrow’s Nurses”  a success by voluneering on race day!  Bring a friend and join us in support of tomorrow’s nurses. 

There are many ways you can help us on the day of the race.  We need assistance in the following areas: 

 Volunteer Check In (6:30am-9:00am):

  • Sign in volunteers and distribute volunteer t-shirts
  • Offer food and refreshments
  • Hold volunteers until assigned staff member comes for them
  • Provide assistance / directions

Registration & Packet Pick-Up on Race Day (7:00am-9:00am):

  • Distribute bib numbers & t-shirts to pre-registered entrants
  • Assign numbers and t-shirts to those registering on race day
  • Directing participants to either pre-registered or day of race registration areas

Health/Expo Tent Set-Up & Supervision (6:30am-8:00am):

  • Set up tables
  • Assist sponsors with setting up displays

Course Directional (7:45am-10:30am):

  • Stationed out on course to help control automobile traffic

Water Stops on the Course (7:45am-10:30am):

  • Set up tables & water dispensers; hand out cups of water to runners & walkers
  • After the event, clean up area completely and take down tables; help load tables onto truck 

R&R Area Refreshments (8:00am-11:00am):

  • Set up tables, trash containers, signage & banners, etc.
  • Get fruit, etc. ready and keep tables stocked and hand out to runners and walkers
  • Clean up area

Finish Line Scoring (8:15am-10:30am):

  • Assist in timing finishers (electronic & manual back up)
  • Assist finishers in chutes (keeping in order, help with chip removal etc.)

Photographers (6:00am-10:30am):

  • Take candid shots, team pictures, opening ceremony, awards, etc.
