Race Information
The 10th annual IU Health Spotlight On Nursing “For Tomorrow’s Nurses” is a family-oriented 5K/10K Run Walk and 1 mile “FUN” Walk to raise awareness of the critical issues facing the nursing profession. Through the annual Run/Walk, we have raised over $325,000 to support undergraduate and graduate students in nursing programs and graduate nursing students aspiring to become faculty. The Run/Walk is open to individuals of all ages, skills and abilities. The event will be timed & scored.
Race Day Events
If pre-registered, you may pick up your registration and t-shirt the morning of the Run/Walk. Participants may also choose to register on the morning of the event.
8:00 - 10:00 am: Race Day Events & Health & Career Fair
Join in the fun with live entertainment, Health & Career Fair, FREE post-race breakfast and refreshments, face painting, drawings, finisher and age division awards.
8:45 am: 10K Competitive Run
Flat and fast 10K course! The run starts and finishes in front of Buggs Temple, with a loop around the city streets before turning onto the Downtown Canal. Mile markers and water stations will be provided along the route. IPICO TAG timed.
9:15 am: 5K Run/Walk
9:30 am: 1 Mile “FUN” Walk
Just want to come out and support the cause? The 1 Mile “FUN” Walk is just for you! Bring your family and friends out for a casual walk along the canal.

Interested in a career in nursing? Just want to find out more about our local health care sponsors? Come visit our fun and educational Health & Career Fair featuring a variety of screenings, activities, and demonstrations provided by our sponsors.

Raffle Drawings
Many exciting raffle prizes will be drawn on the day of the event! All confirmed entrants and donors will be eligible for the drawings beginning at 10:15 am.
Finisher & Age Division Awards
The top 3 finishers in the run will receive separate awards. Age division awards will be presented to the top 3 finishers in each run category, beginning with 12<, 13-15, 16-19 . . . 80+.

Together, teams can raise awareness to the importance of nurses in our community. It’s a great way to get your family, friends and co-workers together to have fun, socialize and show your support for a great profession – NURSING! Free parking is available at IU Health Fairbanks Hall, 340 W. 10th Street. The parking lot is accessible from both W. 10th Street (east-bound)
and W. 11th Street (west-bound).
